Museum of Curiosity

I entered this drawing into a competition to design the CD cover for "The Museum of Curiosity" radio programme. I didn't win, but I did enjoy and learn much from doing this.

I drew a lot of this separately- the background, the pillars, the characters- by hand and scanned into photoshop for line tidying and colour.

Pretty much everything in the picture is a reference to the programme and the various exhibits.

-I'm particularly fond of John and Bill, the moody Britannia leaning against the wall, Pliny- of course!- on his plinth, the writing at the top and, weirdly, the pink wall. It took me ages to decide what colour to pick.
